Educational Trail
An educational trail titled "Butterflies and Haymeadows" is to be constructed on the premises of the Open-air Museum. The highlight of the path will be an observation and climate tower along the forest edge. From here, visitors can experience close up the micro-climatic interplay that occurs at the edge of the forest, and so become familiar with an important part of the Scarce Fritillary's habitat.
Information point
In the museum, a Natura 2000 Information point will be set up. Here vistors will find an introduction to the content and the goals of the LIFE Project, as well as additional interesting information regarding haymeadows and their traditional cultivation.
Film on the Natura 2000 Region
As a special attraction, a professionally-made film on the Natura 2000 site and its natural resources will be available to watch.
Haymeadow show garden
All the plants typically found in the marshy haymeadows can be admired close up in a show garden planned for the museum.
Available Information
In addition to information sheets, posters and information placards on the Project, an abundance of educational material will be available, including brochures on topics such as haymeadow cultivation and forestry work in support of the Scare Fritillary Butterfly, the Yellow-bellied Toad and other species.
Activities and excursions
Numerous presentations, activity days for local schools and special excursions are open to those interested in knowing more about the Natura 2000 site and its unique species. Specific information for these activities can be found under "News".
